How It Works
Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic aminopenicillin (a beta-lactam antibiotic). It acts by inhibiting

Usage and Safety

 Allopurinol: May increase risk of skin reactions
 Probenecid: Inhibits renal excretion of amoxicillin
 Warfarin: Increased risk of bleeding
 Tetracycline: May interfere with bactericidal effect
 Methotrexate: Potential for increased methotrexate toxicity
Indications
Amoxil 90mL is used for the treatment of various bacterial infections including:
 Respiratory tract infections
 Otitis media (ear infection)
 Urinary tract infections
 Skin and soft tissue infections
 Dental infections
 Gastrointestinal infections (e.g., H. pylori eradication regimens)
Contraindications
Do not use Amoxicillin if:
 You are allergic to amoxicillin, penicillin, or any excipients
 You’ve had prior allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics (e.g., cephalosporins)
 You experienced rash, swelling, or anaphylaxis from any antibiotic
Precautions

Warnings
