How It Works
Alfuzosin is a selective alpha1-adrenergic receptor antagonist.

improving urine flow and reducing symptoms of BPH (e.g., frequency, nocturia, weak stream).
Alfuzosin specifically targets alpha1-receptors in the lower urinary tract without significantly
affecting blood pressure in most patients.
Indication
Treatment of signs and symptoms of BPH.
Used as adjunctive therapy with urethral catheterization for acute urinary retention due to
BPH and in management post-catheter removal.
